BlueSky Recruiting Manager
Location: Southeast, United States

Vision & Values: BlueSky Global Ministries’ (BSG) vision is to see the multinational community of Nairobi, Kenya, spiritually transformed and equipped to influence the world for God’s glory. We pursue this by building relationships through adventure, using three core platforms: BlueSky Adventures, Camp BlueSky, and BlueSky Community.
Overview:
The Recruiting Manager role will directly influence BSG’s ministry growth by engaging and helping to mobilize college students and young adults with the vision to impact lives within Nairobi’s multinational community. The Recruiting Manager serves as an active member with the US-based BlueSky Global team and reports to the BSG Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities:

Committed to and models the BSG Vision, Mission, and Core Values which create a culture centered on servant leadership.

Cultivate relationships and present potential partnerships to leadership with colleges/universities and relevant organizations to establish networks for recruiting and marketing.

Contributes and collaborates to an annual strategic plan and presents a budget with appropriate justifications for areas of responsibilities.

Executes recruiting and marketing plans that results in a diverse field of applicants for camp/summer staff and apprentices.

Organizes Camp/Summer staff onboarding and travel (for example: escorting team to Kenya and participating in staff week), including collaborating with Camp Director in the hiring of staff.

Advocates for the organization and recognizes potential future full-time candidates to serve with BlueSky Kenya (BSK).

Collaborating with Camp Director on camp supplies and equipment that need to be sourced in the US, as well as, organizing transportation to Kenya.

Regular connection and meetings with BSK Camp team to provide US support as determined by the Camp Director.

Domestic and International Travel: up to 25% of time
Qualifications:
-
A self-professing Christ follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community and actively pursuing Christ on a consistent basis.

Bachelor’s degree.

Demonstrated experience in recruiting for a camp organization preferred.

Experience as a camper is preferred.
-
Initiative to identify issues and solve problems with energy, teamwork and a positive approach.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.

Strong people and relationship-building skills

Strong ability to follow through and skill with attention to detail.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Effective engagement and presence on diverse social media platforms.

Ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
