BlueSky Global Ministries’ vision is to see the multinational community of Nairobi, Kenya, spiritually transformed and equipped to influence the world for God’s glory. We pursue this by building relationships through adventure, using three core platforms: BlueSky Adventures, Camp BlueSky, and BlueSky Community. The BlueSky Community Managing Director is a leadership role providing strategic oversight to the organization’s year-round focused relational ministry programs, ensuring strong collaboration with the Adventures and Camp platforms as well as quality member care of staff. This is an opportunity to influence the multinational community on a global scale.


  • Ministry strategy: create, implement and oversee ministry plan for our communities in Nairobi, Kenya, including:  Gigiri (Diplomats, Missionaries, and Aid workers), Parklands (South Asian Kenyans), and Karen (White Kenyans, Expatriates, and local business leaders) as well as overall engagement opportunities for Students, Young Adults and Families.

  • Provide oversight, leadership and guidance to the BlueSky Staff that are assigned to these communities as listed above.

  • Train and educate the BlueSky Staff to serve in these communities most effectively.

  • Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with local churches and influencers.

  • Create and implement programming opportunities for ministry that showcase or overlap with our business and ministry platforms of Adventures and Camp.

  • Serve on Leadership Team with fellow directors.


  • Minimum five (5) year work experience serving in a relevant field

  • Spiritually mature with a strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) required

  • Seminary or Master’s degree in theology, missions, or related field preferred

  • Experience working across multiple demographics in an urban ministry setting

  • Experience serving on and leading cross-cultural and diverse teams

  • Robust international exposure preferred

  • Willing to relocate to Kenya and serve for a minimum of 5 years

Support Raising:

All BlueSky ministry staff raise full financial support to serve. Required support amount will be determined based on individual situations and current cost of living and doing ministry in Kenya.
