Camp BlueSky Program Manager

BlueSky Global Ministries exists to build relationships through adventure to engage the multinational community with the gospel. We do this through three main avenues in Nairobi, Kenya: BlueSky Adventures (team building and rock climbing), Camp BlueSky (for students ages 7-18), and BlueSky Community (year-round relational ministry). The Camp BlueSky Program Manager position is a leadership role overseeing program development and implementation, including programs such as age-based skill activities, camp-wide games, and evening activities. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, this is an opportunity to influence the multinational community on a global scale.


  • Commitment to the BlueSky Vision: Purpose, Mission, and Core Values

  • Serve on Camp BlueSky Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Camp Managing Director

  • Lead team of summer program staff 

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate camp programs for BlueSky target audience in a safe and professional manner

  • Manage annual program budget 

  • Aid in developing and implementing pre-camp staff training program with Camp BlueSky Leadership Team

  • Assist in the development of robust Biblical curriculum for camp

  • Provide spiritual leadership to summer camp staff alongside Leadership Team

  • Work closely with BlueSky Community and Adventures teams in program areas of overlap with student groups/schools

  • Pursue expanding year-round opportunities to work with students in a camp setting


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum two years of camp leadership experience preferred 

  • Deep personal faith in Jesus Christ

  • Proven, hands-on management skills

  • Experience in program development and implementation

  • Creative and resourceful approach to program analysis and design

  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Experience engaging with international cultures (leading and serving on a cross-cultural team preferred) and exhibited cultural humility

  • Transparent and high integrity leadership

  • Proven ability to identify issues and solve problems with energy, teamwork, and a positive approach

  • Physical health and capacity to run 11-12 week long programs annually with minimal down time

  • Outdoor recreational skills, such as rock climbing, hiking, camping, and wilderness first aid certification, preferred

All BlueSky ministry staff raise full financial support to serve. Support amount will be determined based on individual need and family situation.
