Camp BlueSky Everyone wants a place to belong. For the kids served by Camp BlueSky, that's especially true. Since 2001, we've hosted thousands of multinational kids, representing 35 nationalities, for a week of unforgettable camp experiences. Most of our campers are only in one place for a season and are known as "third culture kids" - kids who live in a place other than their passport country. Because their parents are diplomats, business leaders, or work for a non-government organization, they move frequently. This often means they have a deep need for connection and relationship. More importantly, many of them have never heard about Jesus. So that's what Camp BlueSky provides - helping these kids venture out, have fun, and discover new friendships - including one with their Savior. From the crazy fun to counselors who really care, we want to help our campers know they belong. During their week at Camp BlueSky, we connect them with kids just like them, fostering friendships that last beyond their week with us. Our activities also help them embrace the adventure of learning new skills and conquering new challenges. And most importantly, we make it clear that the most important relationship they’ll ever have is one with Jesus Christ.

In 2015, 659 campers spent a week at Camp BlueSky. This marked the largest number of campers to attend camp in a single year. We are thrilled to see continued growth in this ministry year after year.
When campers arrive at camp, we INVITE them into relationship - with other campers, with our staff, and ultimately with Christ. For some campers, we will only have one week of influence so it is important that we begin to engage them from the moment they arrive at camp. This begins with a friendly, welcoming staff, includes an innovative program that points campers to Christ, and strives to make Camp BlueSky feel like a place where each and every camper belongs. Camp is all about helping kids CONNECT with their Savior. Each year our team puts together a Gospel-focused theme. For many campers, their week at camp will be the first time they hear of their need for a Savior and about salvation through Christ. With great intentionality, we walk campers through redemptive history. They learn about creation, sin and the fall, a promise of a Savior, the redeeming work of Christ, and the start of the Church. It is all presented in an interactive, kid-friendly manner, while also presenting a very clear picture of the Gospel. Throughout the week, children listen to Gospel messages, dialog with one another and with staff, and are challenged to examine the Word of God on their own. Since the majority of our campers live in Nairobi, we have the unique opportunity to INVEST in them throughout the year. For our older campers, this includes encouraging them to get involved in our Youth program. Campers have an ongoing relationship with our team by coming to the climbing gym throughout the year. We're also exploring opportunities to grow our camp program to have more opportunities for impact throughout the year.
Brett Ministries We've begun to offer a scholarship fund for missionary kids. In the past, some missionary families have been unable to send their children to camp. The scholarship fund is allowing us to make camp accessible to families who are sacrificing to serve the Lord in Kenya.  The 2013 camp theme was AWAKEN, and our verse was Ephesians 5:14 "Awake, o sleeper, and arise from the dead and Christ will shine on you." We are praying that many hearts would be awakened to the Gospel this summer.  Several campers who came to Christ last summer have registered to come to camp this year. They have reached out to our staff to let them know how excited they are to be returning. Our team is excited to encourage them as they continue to grow in their faith. ENGAGE BY
